In 1960, Bumotec set up its plant in Sâles, situated between Bern and Geneva. Today, Bumotec employs 100 people. Located right next to the motorway exit, the production facility is centrally located in relation to Bumotec’s main customers. As a firm specialized in the manufacture of machine-tools for machining complicated parts, Bumotec has built up a solid reputation in the watch making industry. Thanks to the experience gained over more than two decades, Bumotec has extended its activities to aeronautic, electronic, medical, spectacle and textile industries.

Bumotec’s machine family begins with small milling machines, 4 axes with a run of 150 mm, but also multi-spindle milling machines of 3, 4, 5 or 10 axes (27 spindles) which work either from bar or billet. Bumotec’s product line also includes machining centers with up to 7 axes with a tool changer, transfer machines which are equipped with 8 to 12 stations with 3 or 4 CNC axes each, CNC turning centers of 2 to 8 axes, and specific machines according to the client’s request.
